Men who have been married for several
years sometimes have difficulty selecting gifts for
their wives on Valentine’s Day. You have probably
already given items such as flowers, candy, lingerie,
and jewelry many times, and might want to do something
different yet still romantic. Here are some ways
you can update the traditional gift ideas along with
some unique ideas for Valentine's Day gifts.
Candy is a popular Valentine’s Day
gift. There are ways to a gift of candy more
original. If you usually give your wife a
chocolates in a heart shaped box, do something a little
different. Find a box of chocolate covered
strawberries, or gourmet chocolates in unique designs.
If you have the time, try making the candy yourself.
It is not difficult and if you are creative it can be a
lot of fun. This is a real surprise for your wife
- she will probably not be expecting homemade candy!
Jewelry is another frequently given
gift on Valentine’s Day. If you have already given
your wife jewelry a few times, it's still okay to give
her more. Giving diamonds are always a gesture
with the meaning of true love behind it, and most women
will love a new pair of earrings. This is true
even if you can't afford diamonds this year - you can
always go for gold or another precious stone. You
should have a good idea of what your wife would like,
and if you don't, go window shopping at the mall with
her and make sure to pass a couple of jewelry stores
along the way.
If you and your wife have children,
you can give your wife a real treat. Get her a gift
certificate for a massage or manicure, and add some
homemade coupons for free afternoons. You will
take care of the kids during this time, and your wife
can get out, relax, and enjoy some time to herself.
You can also plan special activities with the kids while
she is gone, like making dinner, watching a movie, or
creating crafts. This is a gift that can work out
to be a treat for everyone.
